Harvard Medical School Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery (MMSc-GHD)
The Harvard Medical School Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery (MMSc-GHD) program provides training in management, program design, and research that students need to become leaders in the emerging field of global health delivery. The degree-granting program offers a rigorous cross-university curriculum focused on developing the tools needed to perform social and delivery science and policy research in resource-limited settings. The core component of the MMSc-GHD is a field-based mentored research project in global health, culminating in a master's thesis. The mentored research project allows students to participate in the design and conduct an innovative global health delivery project. Beyond developing skills in global health delivery, the thesis gives students opportunity to contribute to the quality of health care delivery at the sites where they work and to contribute to the growing knowledge base that is transforming global health. The MMSc-GHD program connects students with faculty who are leaders in global health and prepares students with the necessary tools to implement projects and programs and to launch productive, fulfilling and successful careers in global health. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to: design and complete rigorous research studies using qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods; identify and address key issues affecting health worldwide; and plan and lead programs to improve health for people in many settings, including settings with limited resources. Master of Arts in Global Health and Society at The University of Miami
The graduate program in Global Health and Society at the University of Miami provides students with an interdisciplinary perspective for understanding how global health outcomes relate to society, culture, and the environment. A range of interdisciplinary courses examines emerging challenges to human health and security, differential access and adoption of evidence-based health policies, governance, practices, and interventions, and how these translate from international to community scales. The ICFP serves as a strategic inflection point for the family planning and reproductive health community worldwide.
